This will be a community-wide and alcohol-free event to welcome the New Year with a celebration of the arts. This event will feature all kinds of musical, performing, and visual arts displayed and performed in a variety of venues throughout the town.
How will all this happen?
Volunteers, with the cooperation of the Town of Gorham’s public safety, fire, public works and recreation departments, will coordinate this community-wide, alcohol-free event. Churches, the library, schools and other public buildings will serve as various venues where performances will be scheduled throughout the evening. They will offer a variety of entertainment, which will be presented for families and people of all ages to enjoy.
The New Year will ring in with an exciting celebration at midnight culminating with a fireworks display at midnight accompanied by music, church bells ringing and lots of Auld Lang Syne.
